safety tips
Almost everyone here is a real person who loves yoga. A few habits keep it that way:
- Deal locally, face to face. Meet in a public place for gear — a studio lobby, a coffee shop. Don't ship, and don't accept a "shipping agent."
- Never wire money or pay with gift cards, and be suspicious of overpayment or "my assistant will pick it up" stories.
- Trainings and retreats are big purchases. Look for the organizer's own website and reviews, ask for the refund policy in writing, and pay by a method with buyer protection.
- Teachers and studios: credentials are self-reported. Ask about training and insurance, and trust your instincts in a first class or private session.
- Jobs: a real studio never asks you to pay for training or supplies up front.
- Keep your email private. Replies go through the site's relay; you decide what to share after that.
